In this book, Dr. Sankaran introduces his latest approach to case-taking called the WISE ( Witnessing the Inner Song Experience) processes.
One of the main benefits of using the unique WISE processes is that it serves as a really good bypass from the patient’s life story and situation and takes us directly into his imagination and core experience. What emerges from the process makes the homoeopathic remedy very clear for the physician. The processes also can prove therapeutic for the patient. Through detailed cases Dr. Sankaran takes us step by step into this journey. The WISE processes take Homeopathic case taking to a level far deeper than ever before.
Review by Dr. Carlos Eduardo Leitão – Homeopathic Physician – Brazil
My first contact with Dr. Rajan Sankaran happened through the book “The Sensation in Homeopathy” in 2006. At the time I was celebrating my first decade as an homeopathic doctor and the book meant a revolution in my life and in my professional practice. Dr. Sankaran launched new and luminous concepts on a science of more than 200 years, which was believed to be already consolidated and complete.
I had the pleasure of eagerly read 16 other books of his authorship and in the last fifteen years, travel three times to India and become a dedicated disciple of this distinguished Indian master, who is now recognized as one of the greatest homeopathic physicians in history and one of its most prolific writers. Thus, being invited to write the foreword to the Portuguese edition of this masterpiece is an honor and a gift to me.
The Sensation Method, the seven levels of experience, the understanding of the kingdoms from which remedies is originated, among other great contributions by Rajan Sankaran, are now common themes in homeopathy classes all over the world. Recently, he again surprised us by bringing a process developed by him into the clinic, transforming it into a great collective healing movement of individual patterns. The WISE process has started to be applied to groups from all the world who attend The Other Song Academy, Sankaran’s school of Advanced Homeopathy in Mumbai, later being presented at Seminars around the world and finally, due to the recent COVID-19 pandemic, became an online, live course, which was attended more than a thousand participants in Europe and South America. In this 8-sessions process, the experiences create a community environment of deep connection, collaboration and empathy, which lead participants to even deeper layers of unconscious patterns that are integrated and re-signified. The dynamics in pairs allow us to live the experience of being an observer and observed, of openness and help, a human being in touch with another human being, in a posture of acceptance, open mind (non-judgment), humility and deep respect. This process was evaluated by all participants as a reason for profound changes in personal life and relationships.
“From Shadow to Light” was born from these beautiful therapeutic experiences of self-discovery. It is a work that launches a milestone because it brings concepts that are absolutely unprecedented both in homeopathy and in the various known psychological therapies, creating a new line of treatment based on speech and awareness.
In this book, Dr. Sankaran generously teaches us all the details of this process that he has been developing for the past 30 years, showing practical examples of how to apply it in homeopathic consultation to lead to a more accurate and much more confident prescription. It is a solid guide through the intricacies of a technique whose aim is to unveil the dissonant pattern, a kind of other song that resonates inside us and that keeps us victims and executioners in our own inner drama. As we become aware of this pattern, we experience a freedom and lightness like never before. I suggest readers to dive into it carefully and to apply this knowledge in their patients or in themselves to watch its quick and consistent results.
