Each chapter illuminates a different chakra and discusses the relevant homopathic remedies
Fascinating reading for anyone involved in homopathy or any area of healing
Grahame is a member of the Guild of Homeopaths and continues to prove the new Guild remedies. He teaches both the philosophy of using chakras within homopathy and the new remedies of the Guild using esoteric knowledge and psychic reception. He also holds meditative circles that encompass chakra healing. Grahame has his practice in South London.
This illuminating book is a definitive study of the subtle centres and their relationship to remedies both old and new. It takes us on a journey of self discovery and brings a fascinating new dimension to homopathic philosophy and practice. An excellent book.

Review | Reviewed by Eileen Nauman, DHM (UK) Many homeopaths have ignored the spirit part of the human being; Hahnemann did not. But in the twenty-first century, many prescribers are focused only on the physical, mental and emotional parts of a person. Humans are composed of four, not three of these items. And Spirit must not be ignored at the peril of our not being able to help a person heal by finding the correct prescription. This book will stretch the curious or interested homeopath who wants to understand the connection to Spirit and how it feeds and involves our mental realm, our emotions and eventually, how it plays out into our physical body and ultimately, how we are living our life on this Earth. And why we need homeopathy to come back into balance and harmony. Of great interest will be the many new homeopathic remedies that Martin discusses and he has many suggestions on how they can be of help to our evolving selves in this day and age. Remedies such as Sycamore Seeds, Purple, Berlin Wall, Moonstone, Holly Berry, just to name a few. He makes some interesting correlations with the old remedies we all know from our material medicas and a good argument as to why we should continue to be proving new ones today. His conjecture is that as we evolve as humans, we are in need of newer remedies to deal with our healing. What isn’t in the book are case histories or proving symptoms for the remedies he mentions. Given that the book is focused on chakras, this will explain why they are not in the text. Martin sinks his teeth in Miasms such as Syphilis, Psora, Cancer and Tuberculosis, among others. If anyone has ever wondered how/why they came about, he gives a very clarified answer on it--not only from a philosophical standpoint, but for those who are interested in them from an organized religions, philosophical and archetypal symbol perspective, we get a much better look at why they are here among us. And with understanding comes better ability to prescribe. The focus of his books on the chakras. In Eastern philosophy they are known as energy ‘wheel’s but you can imagine them as flowers with petals as well. Chakras are the blueprint for the energy system on every human being. This energy templat runs us from an invisible realm, but has a very real and profound affect on us mentally, emotionally as well as physically. Dis-ease begins in what is not visible, which is why homepaths need to study and become more aware of the chakras and aura. We will recieve a macrocosmic assessment of a patient and her or his this spiritual level. It will help you be a better prescriber as a result if you understand the chakra system. Even if you do not believe in energy fields or chakras, this book has much to offer in way of ‘food for thought’ because of the ancient history including the Great Mother Goddess culture, Lemuria, Atlantis, Egypt and on up through modern day. If you like symbols/archetypes and are attracted to astrology or numerology, Martin serves up a yummy dim sum plate that will certainly satisfy your inquisitive mental palate. If you are into colors, the spectrum and light, there’s plenty here to keep you busy and expanding your thinking process. Love mathematics? Then you will have a field day with the information he shares. And, for those who aren’t oriented toward math, Martin does an excellent job of breaking down a lot of terribly complex information into very simple and digestible bits and pieces that even a six grader could understand. If you are a diehard fan of Science only, then Martin will give you plenty to chew on, think about and he will challenge what you know with some new information. Those who love Quantum Physics will happily vibrate in tune with this book. If you prefer Eastern Philosophy and want a deeper understanding of that belief system, this is the book for you. Martin touches upon the Hebrew Cabalistic tradition and opens it up and explains it in a way I’ve never seen--but makes it a whole lot more accessible and understandable for the rest of the world. The Hindu and Buddhist concepts are also discussed in detail and how they combine with other world belief systems to mirror some profound relationships with all of us. There is something for everyone in this book. If ancient history calls you and you want to understand the evolvement of humankind on this Earth, you will be richly rewarded. For homeopaths, the information on the newer remedies and how they can resonate with a specific chakra may indeed help them to prescribe more precisely. I’m in awe of all the different warp and wefts of philosophies, knowledge, archetypes, color and ancient history information and how Martin has woven it all together in one book. I’ve read many books over the last sixty years of my life on Spirit and no one comes close to what Martin has accomplished. It is a Pandora’s Box, that once opened, will draw you in. And you will find yourself among the chapters and know which chakra you are dealing with right now--and possible ways to help yourself heal as well. And unlike Pandora’s Box--which was a bit of good with bad according to the mythology of it, this book is such a gift to a homeopath that it leaves me breathless and grateful that the author took the time and love to weave the fabric of it so that can help us all heal. And in turn, it will help our Earth heal. One thing for sure--and Martin makes this clear in the front of his book--be SURE to read the book from the first to the last chapter--in that order. Do NOT skip around. If you do, you will lose the foundation that he’s building for you and a lot of it won’t make sense to you. Start from the beginning. He warns you to read only a chapter at a time and let it trickle down through your consciousness. In my case, I could sometimes only read 4-5 pages of a chapter--it was enough to feel and think my way through for a good 24 hours afterward. Each sentence is packed with so much information, ideas and theme that for the slower of us, it won’t be a chapter a day. Like a super rich dessert, small bites may be best in the long run instead of gobbling it all up in one sitting. Ultimately, I’m convince that Grahame Martin is a reincarnation of Mercury, the messenger God Hermes. He’s back here on Earth in the guise of a Homeopath to impart and describe the information from secret societies such as the Knights Templar, from mystery schools back in Egypt, Greece and the Rosecrucians of the Seventeenth and Eighteen centuries and how they are important and reflect where we are today. His job is to take mysterious, once hidden, complex material and make it digestible and understandable for the rest of us. Like an alchemist, he takes the imponderable and makes it materialize and changes it to a gold bar of information before our eyes. I highly recommend his book to all homeopaths, from student to professional. In the end, this book IS a remedy in and of itself and for those who will read it from beginning to end, they will find themselves in a far better place than before. It’s an amazing experience from his heart to our heart. |
